Easy Holiday Recipes
Let’s face it. It’s a hectic time of year and we don’t always have time to put together elegant appetizers when guests stop by. Below are two of my favorite recipes to get you started.
PEPPERONI ROLLS
1 package of sliced pepperoni, a couple of packages of Pillsbury crescent rolls, and parmesan cheese. Open the crescent rolls, pull them apart, cover the surface of each roll with pepperoni, roll them up, brush with egg wash (or water), sprinkle with parmesan cheese and bake as directed on the roll package. Very easy, as well as tasty.
Variation: Add shredded cheese on top of the pepperoni before rolling up and mix Italian seasoning with the parmesan cheese. Serve with a side of warmed pasta sauce for dipping.
SWEET & SOUR MEATBALLS
Package of frozen meatballs, package of frozen onion and pepper mix, can of pineapple chunks, jar of sweet and sour sauce. Place everything in a crockpot and allow to simmer on high for about an hour. Turn the temperature down and allow to stay warm.
Variation: Have a side dish of rice prepared for a quick and easy meal.
