Testimonials

Ms Walsh (Trish), Thank you for all of your help. We made a major dent in this aggressive situation. My wife thought she was at the wrong address when I drove her car into our garage. Thanks again for all your creative ideas, labor and the “HGTV” experience.

Trish Walsh’s superior organizational skills are what make Conquer Clutter so special.  My family and I had a massive undertaking in Spring of 2007, which required us to work very quickly to organize, consolidate, pack, and remove over fifty years’ worth of house wares and furnishings from my husband’s childhood home.  Trish was able to provide us with guidance and exceptional direction in executing this task, while still maintaining the empathy and professionalism that the effort required.  I would recommend Conquer Clutter to anyone who needs a helping hand in organizing, categorizing, and systematizing their home, or to anyone who simply needs a facilitator to coordinate the effort.

Boy am I happy to have found Trish Walsh here in Crofton! I am a busy mom who works from home, runs a nonprofit, and plays Mom Taxi quite a lot. Trish really helped whip my playroom and various closets into shape last month.

Hi Trish!

Remember me, Erika E…..?  I was the one out in Bowie, in the townhouse with the Dog (Beyonce), step daughter Serenity, Husband Richard and son (Richard II, aka Bubba) and our newest member, a cat (Cleo).

Anyways, just wanted to give you an update on my progress since our session.

It has become sooooo much easier for me to get rid of things.  I have since donated more than 15 trash bags of clothing ALONE to charity.  Not including 2 bags of shoes.  I am now down to 13 pairs of shoes, and am trying to part with 3 more (I “need” an even number of shoes in my closet).

I have updated my wardrobe after 14 years of having the same clothes!  It felt good getting rid of all the old stuff from high school (gasp!) – early military.  Like you told me, for every new article of clothing I bought, I got rid of something old.  I am also keeping my closet organized now that I have nice clothes.

I used to have this fear of throwing things out.  My thought behind it was, well, someone took the time to get this for me, so I NEED to keep it.  And I remember one of our conversations, about how it’s not the thing but the memory behind it.  I was being stubborn and didn’t want to listen at the time.  But then one day, while I was looking for something (I can’t even remember what it was) and I was going through piles and piles of stuff (this was before my most recent epic house purging session), and I got ANGRY.  I couldn’t find it.  I found junk that I hadn’t thought of in 5,8,10 years, but couldn’t find that ONE ITEM.  And I said this is NO way for me, or my family, to live.  So that weekend, I went floor by floor getting rid of things I hadn’t thought about within the year.

My husband got excited and joined me.  Together we donated a total of 25 bags of clothes, 8 bags of military gear / clothing to the Am Vets Association, a dog crate, countless kitchen utensils / cookery, 12 bags of baby clothes, 4 bags of toys, a weaving loom…..it was wonderful.  We have SPACE now.

Each month I go through each room and say to myself, what can I get rid of?  And then I donate that item to charity.  My hope is that I get a month where, after looking around the entire house, I am happy with what I have and don’t get rid of ANYTHING.  That’s my goal.  And thanks to you, I am going to reach it.

I just wanted to share this with you, because last night found some things to purge.  And as a motivator, I keep your card on top of the TV.  You are like my Cleaning Guardian Angel (smile).

Thanks so much!!!!!!

As an organizer new to the business, I was fortunate enough to find Trish who has really become a mentor for me. She has given her time freely and given me tons of great advice. I was able to work an estate job with her and she is so much fun to work with! She had a plan for every day we were there and everything ran smoothly. I would recommend Trish for any size organizing job whether it a small closet or an entire house. She truly is a “Professional” Organizer.
